Hi guys, i have really enjoyed the few podcasts of yours I have listened to, but I totally LOVED the one where you reviewed Cold Spring Harbour (I still remember hearing it for the first time when I was 12! Definitely my first loved album) and The Port of Morrow, who I will now listen to a whole lot more. I found the analysis of the music so helpful in so many ways. Thank you!
This is set up to help aspiring songwriters improve their skills. It is not helpful.
The hosts of this show discuss the craft of writing songs that is both basic and inspirational! Good guests offer different ideas and tips on what songwriting can be. I like the extra segments, too, like Nashville Steve, Grant's Rants and Raves, and Don't Do the Dumb Things That Jason Did!
Its an awesome podcast, the presenters are hilarious and I love there opinions on song writing and there approach on topic.
Great job! I really enjoy the variety of guests and analysis of the craft. The critiques are gentle and usually spot on. I am more of a No Rules experimental songwriter and I find the podcast fun and helpful!
Interesting and entertaining. The guys have a smooth relaxed style which makes you feel like you are right there with them. Songwriting isn't an easy thing to do well. This podcast is informative and may just inspire you to write your next best song. I’ll keep listening for sure.
In the songwriting podcast 's short run, the show has shown itself to be everything a good podcast should be. the segments are tight, the interview is deep, and the hosts are knowledgeable and entertaining.
As far as constructive cricticism, there are two things that could be better, both have to do with one of the Co- Hosts, Grant.
First, Grant probably needs a different mic, as what he is currently using is muddy, and cuts in and out. It feels like someone is clapping their hands on my ea... more
The hosts Craig, Grant, and Jason have an excellent rapport and are enjoyable to listen to. Episode 2 is where they really hit their stride with an excellent interview and the first installment of my favorite part of the show "Craig Can Write." Keep up the great work; can't wait till next month for the next installment.
