For whatever reason every other local cinci podcast sounds like it’s being broadcast out of a tin can.. This podcast has great production value, both voices are unique and they don’t just agree with everything which keeps it interesting. Only note is I wish it was still Rick and Skinny on the bengals recap episodes, no offense to whoever the new guy is on those but not the same without Rick.
Could clearly use another voice on the podcast. The coverage about Brennan leaving UC been so bad. Rick blamed it on players being lazy and kids being too soft. I get Ricks got a little NKU homerism, but come on.
Several weeks back Skinny claimed this may lead to Fickell leaving because of how poorly the AD had handled the situation. It was a horrible take in the moment and aging poorly. Now UCs AD has made a home run hire and everyone at UC has moved on.
Just add someone who is at least ne... more
Listened to this for a while, even after Chad wasn’t a regular thing. The clear bias against UC and their athletic department became more and more obnoxious with each episode, to the point I’m unsubscribing and leaving a review. Couldn’t deal with it anymore. UC fans, find another podcast.
Rick needs to chill out during the Ask Skinny segment. You’d think it was Ask Rick, lol. Rick ends up giving his answers that are 2x as long as Skinny’s. On this weeks for example, the ranking of 12 insufferable things, we didn’t even get Skinny’s final rankings. Rick took over and ranked them how he would, and Skinny was trying to interject but Rick kept blabbing on with his takes. It’s #AskSkinny. Not #AskRick
Love the pod. Living in San Diego (not to brag) and the pod makes me feel like I’m in my backyard. Lucky to have good local guys. Well done.

Two local sports talk hosts dissect Cincinnati's pro and college teams with a blunt, opinionated lens, mixing tactical analysis of rosters, drafts, and schedule releases with colorful banter about the Bengals, Reds, and regional basketball. Episodes frequently pivot between in-depth roster/strategy breakdowns, trade implications, and media dynamics around ownership and public communications, all anchored by a firm sense of local pride and community ties.
Noteworthy auras include candid cross-sport comparisons, relentless debate over draft value and front-office moves, and a casual, conversational pace that makes dense sports topics approachable for dedicated regional fans and industry listeners alike.
