  • A Lot of Wasted Time

When they actually talk about the Bengals, I enjoy the conversation. However they waste a lot of time talking about nonsense, nothing to do with the Bengals or football. Episode time could be cut in half if they stuck to the subject matter.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Who Dey Light: Draft visits, strategy and puppy books
Q: What is the value of local visits and top 30 visits in shaping draft decisions?
Local visits can help identify interest in regional players and potential fits, but the visits don't guarantee outcomes; they're part of a broader assessment that includes on-field metrics and team needs.
Who Dey Light: Draft visits, strategy and puppy books
Q: Is a trade-back in the first round plausible, and what would prompt it?
Yes, if the top targets at 10–downs or bain–are off the board, a trade-back could be appealing to accumulate value and still land a top player later, especially if the board falls unfavorably for the Bengals' top choices.
Who Dey Light: Draft visits, strategy and puppy books
Q: What would a realistic Dexter Lawrence deal look like for the Bengals, given their cap and personnel needs?
They discuss taking on Lawrence's money and potentially moving or restructuring other deals, but acknowledge it would require significant cap gymnastics and a willingness to trade players or adjust the roster around star players to fit the payroll.
The Walkout: Zac Taylor at the league meetings
Q: Is moving Dax Hill inside a likely outcome, or is it too soon to tell?
He indicated it is too soon to decide, saying it's not answered yet and depends on how the draft unfolds, implying it could be a consideration but not a firm plan.
Who Dey Light: End of the Downs dream? Jay’s Got Answers
Q: Could Caleb Downs fall to the Bengals at 10 due to injury concerns, and would they still take him if available?
Yes, there is some uncertainty about health, but if Downs is available and the board aligns, many see him as the best value and a fit for multiple roles, potentially shaping long-term plans.
