  • The Clifton Family loves this show

I’m in the Air Force, my family and I are currently stationed about an hour east of KC and we are all Bengals fans, we are in enemy territory! Every week my two young boys and I listen to the podcast while we practice baseball in the backyard or basketball in the driveway, depending on the season. They love hearing Bengals talk, and love knowing Bengals fans are out there, even though they aren’t close to us. Keep it up, and thanks for all you do!!

  • A Lot of Wasted Time

When they actually talk about the Bengals, I enjoy the conversation. However they waste a lot of time talking about nonsense, nothing to do with the Bengals or football. Episode time could be cut in half if they stuck to the subject matter.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dax Hill: Present & Future
Q: Would you like that to be a permanent spot or could you see yourself getting kicked inside potentially this year or are you open to that?
Hill expresses a preference to stay outside, but acknowledges the season's unpredictability and the potential need to adapt if the team sees fit for the greater good.
Who Dey Light: Burrow's back, 'easy' schedules, Taco Bell PSAs
Q: Hey guys, how does the Dexter Lawrence trade impact our comp picks for 2027?
It doesn't affect comp picks for next year since those are determined by 2026 free-agent activity, so the trade mainly impacts the current roster and immediate price tag rather than future comp calculations.
Sam Francis, Bengals director of football research
Q: How do you communicate during games with the coach, and how many words do you have to be efficient?
There are runways during TV timeouts and ongoing practice of concise, pre-agreed cues; we communicate quickly to keep coaches focused on the key information while not overloading them with detail.
Sam Francis, Bengals director of football research
Q: What does the Dexter Lawrence trade look like from your department and how did you try to add as a department to that conversation?
We contextualized what Dexter brings beyond his individual tape by considering how he affects teammates and schemes, including double-teaming dynamics and how attention on him frees up others, and we explored diverse angles such as cap impact, on-field value, and surrounding players.
Sam Francis, Bengals director of football research
Q: What was it like this year sitting down and starting over a little bit in terms of what more can we do with more people?
We expanded the team to formalize a group beyond just two people, focusing on higher integration with coaches and scouts, and ensuring our tools are used consistently to drive decisions and planning.
