  • This Show is Important

Rob’s insights into local and state government are invaluable. Indiana residents would never know much of what is discussed on this program because local media won’t report on it. If you are looking for an outlet that discusses both side of an argument and hates both parties equally then look no further. You’ve found it here!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

8/17/26 - Deery sounds off on Recount Commission, WJOB's Chuck Pullen update on damage to the Region
Q: Why is it dangerous if in-person votes can be thrown out due to clerical errors?
Because it challenges the fundamental premise that a citizen's vote is sacred and should count when they did everything correctly; if clerks can invalidate in-person ballots for technical reasons, it undermines election integrity and public trust, which is why this issue needs a careful, lawful resolution.
8/17/26 - Deery sounds off on Recount Commission, WJOB's Chuck Pullen update on damage to the Region
Q: Spencer, what went through your mind as you watched the recount process unfold in real time?
I saw a complex mix of procedural steps and political pressures, and I realized the core issue is whether a vote should count when the intent is clear but the clerk's procedure was imperfect; the recount process is unfolding in distinct phases, and I expect the courts will eventually weigh in on whether those votes should stand.
8/18/26 - Messmer's disaster, Gaylor's sponsorship raises IEDC red flag, Adam Aasen on H.C. flooding
Q: What is the concern with the IEDC leadership and its connections to a private company?
The host raises concerns that Chuck Goodrich, who heads the IEDC, previously ran Gaylor Electric, a company that builds data centers and could benefit from incentives, posing a potential conflict of interest.
7/28/26 - Shelton fires back at Engling, Hicks on Bears stadium, Fauci caught on COVID origin
Q: Tell us about the Bears Stadium economics and what Hicks thinks about the revenue and jobs it would generate.
Hicks argues that subsidies for stadiums mostly relocate activity rather than create substantial new economic output, diminishing true net gains for the region and potentially diverting funds from other critical infrastructure and services.
7/22/26 - Liz Brown Attorney on election victory, $37.5 billion Iran War, IURC finalist
Q: What distinguishes a recount from a contest in Indiana elections, and why might a party choose one path over the other?
Schwartz explains that a recount retabulates votes to confirm the tally, while a contest alleges irregularities or fraud and requires a more specific, law-driven pleading; choosing the path depends on the perceived strength of the irregularities and strategic considerations.
