  • Ever since the June 2023 Conroe, TX herps show I started listening to every episode all the way from the beginning back when Carli was the only co-host and I have absolutely loved every episode. I've learned so much about reptiles of all kinds and been entertained by the banter and crazy stories from yourselves and your guests. On top of all that you've helped me keep up to date on some important and interesting things happening in the hobby both present and in the past. Keep up the good work y'... more

  • The best reptile podcast

Seriously, these people know what they’re talking about. Which is incredibly hard to find in the reptile world. They’re so funny too! I learn so much from their variety of guests and their content is original - unlike other podcasts. Great stuff !

Episode 261 - Part 2 of 2025 Texas Crocfest
Q: How long have you all been doing the podcast?
We first started CrocCast probably back in August, September of 21.
Episode 254 w/ Tabitha Blewett of Austin Reptile Service
Q: Do reptile animal cruelty cases get treated the same as dog, cat, and livestock cruelty cases?
No, reptile cruelty cases are not treated the same as cases involving traditional pets like dogs and cats, and there is often less public outrage.
Episode 254 w/ Tabitha Blewett of Austin Reptile Service
Q: What constitutes animal cruelty in the reptile world?
Animal cruelty is determined by whether adequate care is provided to the species, which can involve neglect or intentional harm.
Episode 253 w/ Travis Johnson of Living Legless Reptiles
Q: How is reptile keeping shaped your life?
It's done a lot of things. I mean, it's chosen or it's helped to choose where I lived. Because obviously, like we discussed, I couldn't move to this state because of this, or I couldn't move to that state because of that. It definitely has shaped those things.
Episode 246 w/ Amanda Terry of Texas Sealife Center
Q: So for somebody that started listening in the last two years and hadn't heard all the way back then, let people know about the Texas Sealife Center, kind of just the rundown of that?
We are a wildlife rehabilitation facility. We do sea turtle, shorebird, and raptor rehabilitation primarily.
