  • Curran Appearance

Someone needs to tell not a math major Tom E that if Patriots are trailing 17-12 the score won’t end up 19-17. After the TD, the score will be 18-17 and, any p-brain coach would know to go for 2. It would need to be 20-17 or 18-17 but never 19-17.

Fitzy is the best. There’s enough negative patriots podcasts out there. I like his hometown bias at times, relatable.

Andy used to be my favorite local media reporter for the patriots. Then he got a new radio job and completely changed. He doesn’t believe anything he makes up and just is negative until any of his ideas make him look bad. The others on here just follow his lead because his head will grow and he will try to ruin you. He had Nick and Dan up his backside for it. It If I could give zero I would but maybe he will come back off his huge ego and say things he believes. Total nonsense

id never heard this guest before. this was shocking episode. poor communication and amateur insights, in part evidenced by the excessive swearing. here’s the tip: swearing can be used sparingly for effect, but its not a way to actually communicate anything substantive. this episode was a joke. your actual football takes could have been expressed in a couple minutes, including breathing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mike Giardi joins to discuss why the Patriots haven't paid Christian Gonzalez yet
Q: Mike Giardi, here on WEEI Afternoons, what percent chance is it that AJ Brown will be a member of the Patriots when we get to training camp?
Giardi puts a probabilistic read on AJ Brown's future with the Patriots, suggesting a path where it could happen but noting cap considerations and competing interests from both sides, with a sense of cautious optimism depending on how the season unfolds and contract dynamics.
Are the Patriots content with their current receiver corps? Tom E. Curran joins
Q: Do you think the difference between Kraft's playoff language and Vrabel's championship language matters for the Patriots' strategy?
Yes, the discrepancy signals different leadership emphases—Kraft focusing on realistic playoff goals while Vrabel emphasizes ultimate success—helping shape locker room expectations and strategic messaging.
Patriots insider Tom E. Curran joins to discuss the latest rumors on A.J. Brown
Q: Do you believe there is a deal in place for A.J. Brown or is this ongoing drama?
Curran expresses skepticism about a deal, noting no sources have confirmed a deal and suggesting the teams are still evaluating options and keeping the door open rather than committing to a trade.
Tom E. Curran with the latest on A.J. Brown and the Patriots’ newest signings
Q: What stood out about the free-agent class so far according to your conversations on the ground?
The feel is that the class isn't as star-studded as some years, but the Patriots have addressed needs with smart fits who bring leadership and culture, particularly at safety and the tight end position, while keeping an eye on cap space and potential future moves if a bigger opportunity arises.
Tom E. Curran with the latest on A.J. Brown and the Patriots’ newest signings
Q: Tom Curran, what do you think of the AJ Brown possibility for the Patriots?
There's a belief in some circles that the Patriots have kept the door open on AJ Brown, with strong indications from insiders that the team is not closing the door despite cap constraints, and that if the situation aligns—like a favorable trade, or a restructure—they could pursue it, though it would require significant cap maneuvering and a match with the other side's willingness.
