I’ve just discovered the podcast (for once a Facebook pop-up was a good thing!), and my heart is full. What a beautiful, inspiring, utterly engaging podcast. I don’t even usually like podcasts, but these 20-minute visits with Martin Sheen remind me that life is good. How lucky are we to hear Mr Sheen’s voice, his stories, and his one-of-a-kind voice reading his favorite poems.

I’ve enjoyed every season and hope to be inspired by 1000 more! As much as I adore The West Wing I’m elated that this podcast is so much more!
I love this podcast where I can listen to it before I go to church and start off my work week with a good thought. Also give me names of people who I can look up quotes from to have.
I started it because I like Martin as an actor. I stayed because he just tells the best stories. I do not like poetry but I could learn to like it if Martin is the reader He has a wonderful sense of humor It is a conversation and not an interview
Martin Sheen has had a wonderful life and has the stories to tell but occasionally he is a bit full of himself

The format blends memoir-style narration, readings of poetry, and candid discussions that span acting, filmmaking, travel, and spirituality, often anchored by themes of empathy, hope, and service. Noteworthy is the strong emphasis on poetry as a spiritual and artistic vehicle, and a recurring family-and-friends dynamic that adds warmth, authenticity, and a sense of legacy.
