Came here to take a deep dive in the Illuminatus! Trilogy. They have definitely said a lot of words but I have learned almost nothing. It’s like it’s all preamble. Very little substance. In a word: boring.

Double host deep dives on escoteric topics. It's an acquired taste, but if you like this period: late sixties to mid eighties their deep thoughts on these books, movies, and news events are great. Everyrthing from oddball Presidential Candidates to vilent hippie groups to St. Elmos's Fire. One of my go-tos for long walks or train rides.

The hosts are good and have chemistry.
Great topics too.
But after listening to (and enjoying) a couple episodes it seems they do not watch the movies or read the books before doing the show.
I have my memories of these movies and events too and could probably have a spirited, but hazy discussion on them. Which is what this podcast is.
A quick watch or reread off the subject by the hosts could take this pod from good to great.
