I love how in depth they were on this case! I hope you continue to do other podcasts! They had me so invested in this case!
The story is, of course, compelling, but the scripting by Eryk Pruitt and commentary by co-host Drew Adamek is at best cringe, and at worst nonsensical.
This is one of my favorite podcasts ever. I looked forward to listening everyday when driving to work, and was sad when it was over.
This ranks right up with the best true crime podcasts. The research is very diligent. The construction of the narrative is excellent. The reporting is high quality and objective with lots of first-hand sources interviewed. The information collected by this project significantly progressed the investigation.
I am from NC and have affiliations with the modern inhabitants of Watts Hospital, so I was interested in this story. However, it was a slog to get through all the episodes. The producers’ inability to edit down Tim Horne’s interviews and or to pivot from the frequent melodramatic commentary made it a very tough listen.
