I LOVE Ray Hughes. Anything he says is wise and beautiful and sometimes downright funny! Every podcast is worth listening to more than once. You'll find yourself falling in love with Jesus and all that He created.
I have been listening and following Ray Hughes since 1997 and it has absolutely been life changing! As a singer/songwriter/creative, he has always been such a gift and breath of fresh air for me personally. After listening to Ray, I always walk away changed for the better. Great encouragement!
I just saw someone recommend this podcast in a Facebook group, so I listened to the episode on solitude. Great wisdom and great words. There is a difference between isolation and solitude. I love when you said, “In the place where John should have died the death of isolation, he came fully alive... he was no longer isolated on that rock, he looked on the rock that was higher than him.” I am subscribing for sure!
So grateful for your gift of words Ray. Papa’s truth and delight fall gently on my ears and soak into my soul. Thank you.

My wife and I have been enjoying "The Listening Porch". We find that the stories he tells, invite us to share our own story with each other and are points of awakening in our hearts.
I could sit and listen to Ray tell stories for hours. His knowledge of and familiarity with revival history and worship is inspiring.
I stumbled across Ray’s podcast & I couldn’t be happier! From the sound of the chirping birds, to Ray’s slow, easy talking full of wisdom & simplicity, my heart is beckoned to return time & time again. It makes my heart smile & causes me to slow down & ponder. Thank you, Ray!
So much wisdom and truth!!
Ray is a prophetic voice to the creatives of today. His words hit me deep in my soul every time.
This podcast is gold! Thank you, Ray Hughes, for sharing your storytelling gift in this format!
The story-telling of Ray Hughes brings me back to a time long gone. The time where we would sit on the porch with our granny shucking peas and listening to her stories as a child. It was a meeting place of sorts, where neighbors would stop and join you and add their stories to all of ours. This nation needs story tellers once again. We need to remember the ancient old paths. I am grateful Ray for this podcast. It makes my heart swell with encouragement. Blessings!
