  • Love Matt Cooper

In general, I absolutely love this show and Matt Cooper is a fantastic host. The only negative - and it’s a big one - is Cal Thomas. It baffles me as to why Today FM platform such a right wing Trumpian bigot who uses every opportunity to ‘other’ anyone not from the ‘West’ as cave dwelling bombers. He is absolutely disgusting and is a blight on the show.

  • Cut the ads!

I’m giving one star because although I like listening to most of the content when I tried to listen to a 20 minute podcast I had to give up after 6 ads! There aren’t that many ads in a podcast that’s an hour long! A radio show shouldn’t need all this advertising on their segments from the show. I didn’t even make it to the end and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more. Very disappointing Today FM!

  • Update podcasts faster

I like the content but the segments are either updated irregularly or not at all. I often miss them live but try to catch them later on the pod and a lot of the time they’re just not there

Fish In Irish Waters Move North Due To Climate Change
Q: Does that mean we're getting replacement fish, other fish coming from previously warmer waters that have become too warm?
Yes, species are migrating into Irish waters as they seek temperate conditions, with examples like bluefin tuna moving from warmer regions into cooler Irish waters, which creates new challenges for management and quotas.
Irish Author 'On Cloud Nine' As Debut Novel Longlisted For Booker Prize
Q: What motivated you to write about the setting and topic of All Them Dogs?
White says the motivation starts with the characters, especially Tony with a distinctive first-person voice that shapes the entire narrative and the authentic feel of the setting.
David Baldacci: Why The AI Boom Is Bad For Authors
Q: What motivates you to continue writing on such a regular basis?
I'm driven by a deep love of stories, a need to keep creating, and a belief that storytelling is essential to human identity and connection; I also see the need to adapt to new technologies while maintaining the craft and purpose of literature.
'Testimony' Documentary Explores Magdalene Laundries Abuse
Q: What was it like growing up with all of that and making your way in life?
Mary describes a difficult path marked by limited education, trauma, and a long effort to pursue higher education and rebuild her life, including joining the British Army and later engaging in advocacy.
Central Bank Launches Major Probe Into Life Insurance Companies
Q: Charlie, what exactly is the scale and scope of this probe, and why it's taken so long to get to the bottom of it?
The probe is exceptionally large, involving many employees and sophisticated IT systems across multiple life companies, and it's going to take a long time—likely a year or more—because reviewers must audit past transactions, allocations, and the timelines between paying in and investing. There are big operational complexities and it's not clear how big a problem there will be in refunds or adjustments, but it's certainly substantial.
