  • Cut the ads!

I’m giving one star because although I like listening to most of the content when I tried to listen to a 20 minute podcast I had to give up after 6 ads! There aren’t that many ads in a podcast that’s an hour long! A radio show shouldn’t need all this advertising on their segments from the show. I didn’t even make it to the end and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more. Very disappointing Today FM!

  • Update podcasts faster

I like the content but the segments are either updated irregularly or not at all. I often miss them live but try to catch them later on the pod and a lot of the time they’re just not there

  • Great show and host

I really enjoy the segments especially the weekly one with Cal and Marion. It would be great if all the content was uploaded as podcasts as it seems to be hit and miss on what gets shared.

  • USA ! USA! USA!

I love it just to listen to Cal Thomas elegantly swat away the righteous bleating and squealing from Matt & Marion on the US segments….looking forward to each weekly dose for the next 4 years!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jan Carson Reimagines A Plan To Drain Lough Neagh In Latest Novel
Q: So how has Lough Neagh become a central character to your book?
The lake becomes more than a setting; its history of drainage schemes, its scale, and its ongoing ecological crisis shape the narrative. By imagining a future where parts of the lake are exposed and inhabited, the book explores sanctuary, memory, and the politics of belonging in a post-conflict landscape.
How A Cheating Scandal Shocked The World Of Irish Dancing
Q: Okay. So tell us, first of all, how many children are involved in Ireland in organized Irish dancing?
There are tens of thousands of children involved in Ireland, with a global expansion that has grown the sport into a massive, world-spanning industry where the top dancers compete at events like the All-Irelands and Worlds, and clubs feed talent into professional bodies and schools worldwide.
Ryder Cup Tickets Priced At Almost €500 Per Day
Q: Will you be paying 500 euro a day to go and support, who would you support, the United States of America or Team Europe in the Ryder Cup?
Larry Donnelly expresses that he would still support the United States and questions the value of such prices, arguing it makes golf seem elitist and inaccessible for most fans, including families.
Tech Thursday: Energy Saving Gadgets
Q: Is an investment in a smart thermostat a good idea?
Yes. It's a solid starting point for reducing energy use because it learns patterns, schedules itself, and can be coupled with smart valves to fine-tune heating by room, which can lower bills while maintaining comfort.
How To Deal With Ongoing Anxiety
Q: One, how did anxiety manifest itself for you, and two, how did you realize you needed to confront it?
There wasn't a single clear trigger; it was a buildup over time with no obvious medical cause. Anxiety showed up in the body first, and only later did she connect the dots through therapy, medication when appropriate, and a shift in perception—from seeing anxiety as something-that-tominated-her to something she could understand and manage with practical strategies like CBT and lifestyle changes.
