The content of the podcasts is usually good but the frequency and placement of the ads makes them unbearable to listen to. A podcast might only be 5 or 6 minutes long but still have multiple ads, some of which are cut in to interrupt in the middle of a sentence. It displays a complete last of respect for the listener.
Pat cannot hide his Trump derangement syndrome. 99.9% of his contributors on United States affairs are liberals. Whenever he (almost never) has a conservative on, they tend to be the least able to articulate their counter arguments. He couldn’t hold his own against a real conservative. Seems there are no conservatives in Europe. They’re ALL labeled far-right extremists.
His panels invariably consist of three liberals and no conservatives
Zero balance.
Pat brings sharp analysis. Henry McKean does not. Henry needs to find a new career path as he is not a reporter. He’s more of a detraction than an addition and damages the PK brand.
I really enjoy this show but the podcast segments are a disaster!! Recently, ads are thrown in - usually in the middle of a conversation (sometimes even a sentence). It’s so off putting. To make it worse the sound of the ads is far louder than the actual episode. Surely this can be sorted. It’s bad enough having to listen to the long ads at the start of each episode.
I listen to that show for many years. Great interviewing! Great topics! Great information!
However the technical implementation of the podcast is so amateur:
1. Sound level is all over the place. Sometimes you can’t hear Pat and then suddenly again very loud
2. Sometimes only ONE channel is with sound (hear only sound one one ear plug)
3. Misplaced advertisements! They’re placed in the middle of a sentence- no other podcast is doing it 😠
4. Too many advertising repeats if I listen to multi... more
