I don’t listen to Claire as much as I did when she was with RTE.
Newstalk have interminable ads before during and after each podcast segment. I’m not sure I can persevere-nor want to. Also the quality of the show is disappointing and it gets worse as the weeks go by. What was a staple is now occasional if at all. At least we still have Pat Kenny which is the best weekend show on radio worldwide.

A sharp, interview-driven current affairs program that blends political analysis with human-interest stories. Episodes frequently tackle housing, energy costs, protests, and policy reforms, often featuring policymakers, analysts, and journalists who unpack complex issues for a broad audience. Listeners can expect thorough discussions about how national decisions play out in everyday life, with occasional lighter segments and personal testimonies that ground policy in real-world impact. A standout aspect is the willingness to host a diverse mix of voices—from government officials and academics to local councillors and affected families—providing both critique and context for Ireland's evolving political landscape.
