    I stumbled onto Casey’s podcast after searching podcasts that discussed perimenopause and alcohol and I’ve been a loyal listener since. I love how honest and raw Casey is. I love the various topics around drinking, society, women’s health and how to navigate a sober life. I myself have recently decided I’m no longer drinking and recommend the podcast to anyone whether still drinking or not.

Ask your loved one to get evaluated by a professional, as it isn't your role to diagnose or monitor their drinking, and it's essential to approach the situation with compassion rather than become the 'sober police'.

Q: Can you tell us and define what inpatient program is versus outpatient program, versus medically assisted treatment?
Residential treatment is a 24-hour structure that separates you from your daily stressors and provides several hours of therapy each week. It includes a medical detoxification process for stabilization and can last from two weeks to 90 days. Outpatient treatment varies based on the level of support you receive but generally involves weekly therapy sessions and support groups.
