Hi, I am an 11 year old looking to get into blacksmithing and am finding the podcast very helpful. I am on episode 34 the one where you interview Nieels Van Den Berg and am enjoying the podcast and I listen to it as often as I can.

Episode 233 - Perth Knife show Catch up
Q: Can ferric chloride be revived, or is it best to just throw it away?
There is some cases where you can revive it somewhat by adding an oxidizer, normally peroxide, but it's best to neutralize it before disposal.
Episode 233 - Perth Knife show Catch up
Q: Do you have any tips for people trying to anneal their blade steel for drilling holes for handle pins in a full tang knife?
Annealing is one of those things that I think is in many ways misunderstood. To anneal properly, you want to be at the critical temperature, which is about 1550 degrees Fahrenheit.
