  • Consistent and great.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and audiobooks, and Full Blast is one of my favorites. Geoff has a good voice for radio and he keeps the conversation flowing naturally. You’ll laugh a lot and maybe even shed a tear or two. You don’t have to be a maker to enjoy this podcast, so give it a listen!

  • Great maker interviews

Geoff takes a love for talk radio and mixes it with great interviews of different makers. I love the diversity of makers he has on every week and the thoughtfulness of questions he asks. Never a dull moment and highly recommended

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tomer Botner Calls In!!!
Q: What keeps you excited about collaborating with others and how do you choose partners?
Authentic relationships matter; collaborations should add real value and come from people you know and trust, not just opportunistic deals. The energy comes from long-standing friendships and shared standards.
Tomer Botner Calls In!!!
Q: How do you run the classes and what makes them different from typical knife-making courses?
We run a very intimate, one-on-one style where two grinders per room are shared and we rotate students through, letting them directly work on blades while we instruct, which creates a unique hands-on, experiential learning environment.
Joshua Prince Rides Again
Q: How has travel influenced your work and outlook as an artist?
Travel broadened perspectives, underscored the connection between place and craft, and reinforced the idea that evolving one's work often comes from exposure to different cultures and environments.
Ben Snure and the Trebuchet
Q: How long was the flight to Japan and how did you handle jet lag?
The flight was about 14 hours; they managed jet lag by keeping active during the day and acclimating gradually, finding time to rest and explore once adjusted.
Leah Aripotch: Creature Teacher
Q: What was the name of the class and what was its description in regards to what the students would accomplish?
The class is called Conjuring Creatures, and its main goal is to teach students how to design a creature in clay, then translate that model into a sculpture in steel by creating a solid plan and understanding the anatomy and dynamics before fabrication.
