I know you guys lament from time to time the dearth of feedback on the podcast, but I'd like you to know why at you do is appreciated! I'd hate to think you will jack it in when you reach episode 100. For my money yours is one of the best podcasts around.
too many ummms, ahhhh, pauses, empty space, moving away from the microphone, loud unintelligible sounds. Needs practice and a once over to know what is going to be said and to make a smooth listening experience. :(
If you are like me and have troble tricking people into your basement to listen as you try and talk about the horrifc tomes moldering next to last years christmas tree, then this podcast if for you. Now I can spend my time on more productive ventures such as writing fewer run on sentences or actualy reading some of the books I bought because of these guys.
If you are looking for slick, studio-quality, professional broadcasting...then you might want to look elsewhere. However, if you want to hear a couple of (fairly) witty friends kick around their thoughts on a book in a most entertaining fashion, then this is the place for you.
I've listened to almost all of the episodes on iTunes. The two Mikes' are such great podcasters. These guys are so naturally funny, the way they discuss and joke around with each other is so witty and quick! The great liitle trips to the Basement still make me chuckle and the Gurgling-Cocktail Break sometimes has a drink that might be worth drinking too. Thanks for being yourselves, it's fun when you occasionally reveal just a tiny bit now and then about where Dopple town is. Aside from all that... more
