Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#2 Brendan Wheeler: The Keys To EV Infrastructure & Scaling in Australia
Q: What does charging as a service look like?
Charging as a service focuses on fleet operators, allowing them to spread the capital cost and transfer technology and operational risk onto us.
#2 Brendan Wheeler: The Keys To EV Infrastructure & Scaling in Australia
Q: When you and Sam Corky started it, what did that actually look like?
It was in Sam's parents' garage, and we chucked in sort of 10 grand each to build a website and get started.
#9: Stefan Grosjean: It's Too Late For Nuclear!
Q: Can you give us a bit of context in terms of how the growth has played out for you over the last five or six years in the industry?
The cultural aspect has been significant. In regions like Norway, electric vehicles have become predominant due to financial incentives and the total cost of ownership being more favorable for businesses and individuals aiming for renewable energy.
#9: Stefan Grosjean: It's Too Late For Nuclear!
Q: So, Stefan, if we go back even further, you've built a career in energy. When you were a young man, a student, did you always know that the energy space was one that you were passionate about, or did you sort of stumble into it?
I was so impressed by chemistry and the possibility of using hydrogen as a fuel. My curiosity drove me to explore energy solutions from a young age, leading eventually to my career in energy.
#11 Ludicrous Feed (Tom Gan): EVs, V2G and the Future of Home Electrification
Q: If we look a bit more distantly into the future, 10, 15, 20 years, what do you think the future could look like in Australia?
I think the future could look like China, actually. The times I visited there, it feels like I'm already visiting the future.
