Phenomenal writing, as well as reading. I was so sad to see it end!
The story is pretty good. Definitely a "young adult" title. As a book, the plot was interesting and well-written, though the language was a bit stiff. As a podiobook, the cast could've used some work. Starla has a great voice, very smooth, with just enough emotional inflection. Heck, even the mouse was a decent actor. But then there are guest readers like James D. Priest. He may be a fantastic writer, but his audiobook skills are quite lacking. The lack of inflection and stop-and-go dialogue sou... more
Give it 2 chapters you won't be disappointed I am enjoying this book so much I have listened to hundreds of great books and this is a favorite
Please write more!!!!!!!!
What a wonderfully vivid imagination. I've listened to tons of audio books, but this is my absolute favorite. I'd love to hear more. Keep writing.
I usually listen to my podiobooks whilst falling asleep: but this fantastic writing kept me away from my own dreams because it is just so absorbing (or perhaps I just have a touch of insomnia but the moment, but at least I had an incredible tale to listen to in the wee small hours).
It was FANTASTIC
Well I just finished and I feel like Im missing a good friend.
The sign of a well done book.
Please give us more!
I absolutely love this book! I chanced upon it by accident and quickly found myself caught up in the dramatic, humorous, and enchanting world created by the words of Starla Huchton. Since listening to the first episode I haven’t been able to stop myself and listened to it constantly until the story’s end. I am generally skeptical of fantasy stories, afraid that it would be just another tale of elves and adventures like so many others, but instead I found myself entranced by something completely ... more
This is really a very engaging, well written story. The production values are high and I could easily get lost in the story. I love Aura and the characters that help her on her quest. I could very easily picture the story as I listened and I just love it when a story captures my imagination like that. I highly recommend giving this a listen.
I loved this podiobook it was awesome. The story has everything from mermaids to vampires and other various creatures. If you really like fantasy you'll love this book. Another thing I like about this book is that it is appropriate and there isn't any swearing in it.
I'm almost finished and I just know I'm going to listen to it again.....and possibly again and again....captivating storyline, great cast.....I give it a standing ovation
I thought this was a really good story which kept my interest..ithink it was well read and well produced..I look forward to hearing more tales from this writer.
I loved it. Plain and simple. The multi voice cast was awesome. Some of the voices were a little ruff but over all I loved it. THanks for putting this together.
After finishing listening to the final episode of The Dreamer's Thread last evening I felt that ache; a bittersweet feeling that only comes when I have completed a particularly poignant and interesting podcast. As someone who has vivid dreams and occasionally experiences conscious dreaming, I found the story idea immediately intriguing and was kept engaged by Aura's slightly quirky personality and her adventures in the Dreamland. The voice actors were excellent (hooray for the always fabulous ... more
