  • Fantastic listen from a pragmatic voice

Your podcast is one of the only ones I listen to that feel like common sense and honestly doesn’t feel hyper partisan. Keep up the good work

  • Highly recommend

I really enjoyed this last episode. It was very refreshing in the midst of all the noise of the world. Your guest was so humble and kind as a mother and grandmother with so much experience. Just what I needed to hear! I might have to listen again!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP 219: Are We Good Enough for Liberty? with Lawrence W. Reed
Q: Is there a path to more limited government?
Reed argues for exposing government shortcomings while offering a positive alternative built on faith, liberty, and voluntary cooperation, emphasizing education and civic participation to sustain a smaller, more accountable state.
EP 217: How to Heal Modern Medicine: COVID and Control over Life & Death with Dr. Aaron Kheriaty
Q: What is your history and background, and what inspired you to write the book Making The Cut?
The guest describes a career in psychiatry and bioethics, roles at UC Irvine and a DC think tank, and explains that Making The Cut articulates a sound medical philosophy and critiques contemporary health care systems, informed by personal experiences with Covid policies and free-speech cases.
EP 216: Uncovering IVF with Josh Wood of Them Before Us
Q: What are your main concerns or the main ethical issues with IVF?
Josh Wood explains that IVF involves creating and freezing large numbers of embryos, many of which are discarded, with aggressive screening and potential manipulation of embryos. He argues that the lack of regulation, the practice of grading and selecting embryos, sex selection concerns, and the potential for non-traditional family structures to redefine parentage all raise deep ethical issues about the treatment of embryos as potential lives and the ultimate aims of medicine versus restorative, health-centered fertility approaches.
EP 209: How to know you’re done having kids, vaccines & trad-wife movement… 5 year Anniversary Q&A
Q: How did you know you were done having children?
I felt complete and blessed with our two children after experiences including pregnancy and loss; biology provides a time to stop, and I don't plan to put an age on it, trusting God and the life circumstances.
EP 209: How to know you’re done having kids, vaccines & trad-wife movement… 5 year Anniversary Q&A
Q: Are you open to more children?
Yes, I would consider it a blessing if God gave me another child, but I'm not actively pursuing pregnancy or surgeries; I've been open to the possibility but recognize the current family dynamics and life situation would guide any decision.
