  • Love the overall message! But…

I love the message of parenting with an eternal perspective and reaching your child’s heart! Very helpful! Also the practical insights. What I don’t like is the frequent advertising, either for other products or Ginger’s. While I know these things may be useful, half the episode feels like an advertisement! It’s distracting and frustrating when I just want to hear the content and end up having to skip over self promotion or other ads. So overall, I appreciate what is said! Just wish there was mo... more

  • Go to Christian parenting!

I have purchased the wise words for mom chart and the book she wrote on parenting. So so very helpful! I listen to this podcast so often while working out to gain biblical insight to instill in my children!

  • Not Wise

Ginger, I’m really sad to see you have Sadie Robertson on your show. She has the false teacher Joyce Meyer on her show and she disobeys Gods word by “preaching”.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 288 | Why Won't My Child Obey Others?
Q: How can I teach my child to respond with respect even when they are upset?
Use pre-scripted phrases and practice sessions, address the heart behind the behavior, and emphasize that obedience to authority is part of honoring God, not just obeying a rule.
Ep. 288 | Why Won't My Child Obey Others?
Q: What should I do if my child won't listen to grandparents when I'm not there?
Set clear expectations before the visit, have the grandparent report back, and follow through with agreed consequences when you're back home, while avoiding undermining the grandparent in front of the child.
Ep. 285 | When Kids "Forget" and Time-Outs Don't Help
Q: What do you suggest for consequences or discipline when a child resists timeout?
Avoid power struggles by not using timeout as a punishment after disobedience and use it proactively to give a moment for reflection, then follow with clear instructions and appropriate consequences for direct disobedience.
Ep. 284 | Parenting with an Unbelieving Husband
Q: My husband and I are what you might call unequally yoked.
The focus is on honoring his leadership while faithfully teaching your children, finding non-essential areas where you can compromise for unity and steadfastly upholding essential gospel commitments, such as regularly training your children in the Lord and not neglecting church involvement, with much emphasis on prayer and trust in God.
Ep. 283 | Marriage & Parenting with Bob Lepine
Q: How has parenting changed or stayed the same across generations in light of biblical principles?
He emphasizes heart-centered parenting, modeling honesty about sin, and training children to confess and repent, while prioritizing leading them toward a relationship with God and living out biblical values.
