  • Would have liked if not so god-ey

I respect others religion, but sorry it’s too much for us. I don’t aim to indoctrinate my kids into any religion. Too bad the rest of the content would have been great!

  • God’s Amazing Animals

I’m Lincoln, I’m 10 years old and I love all the episodes. I love animals and know a lot about them but this podcast helps me discover even more. I love how it connects to God and I also love Gods wild and wonderful world! The sawfish episode is one of my favorites. Could you please do one on dragon fish?

Also, my mom is going to homeschool me in 6th grade and I love that you recommend homeschooling tools for us to use.

    Please don’t stop making episodes.

  • Big fans in this family!

My 5 year old son adores this podcast. He loves the sea horse episode! And the mantis shrimp has become a family mascot after listening to that episode. This podcast is great for car rides, bath time, or anytime we want to learn without screens. Plus we ALL get so much out of the beautiful and insightful ties made to scripture ❤️

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is an Inchworm Actually an Inch Long? Lesson 123
Q: What is the difference between antelope and deer, and how are they classified?
Antelope and deer belong to different families (antelopes in Bovedi and deer in Servidi); the practical difference highlighted is their horn versus antler distinction, and both are presented as creatures designed by God.
Why Do Owls Spit up Their Food? Answering Nature Questions From Kids
Q: Hi, my name is Harper. I am seven years old and I live in Virginia. And I want to know, why do owls spit up their food?
Owls spit up pellets because their digestive system includes a gizzard that sorts out hard-to-digest parts like bones and fur; these parts are then packed into a pellet and regurgitated, while softer material moves on to be digested.
Why Does A Rabbit Wiggle Its Nose? Lesson 124
Q: Hi, my name is Saroon. I'm 10 years old and I live in Georgia. I want to know, why do axolotls have funny tentacles on the sides of their head?
The gills on axolotls are external and resemble feathery tentacles; they enable underwater breathing and are not like the gills found in fish, which are internal. These external gills flutter to maximize oxygen uptake from the water.
Why Do Male Seahorses Have Babies? Lesson 121
Q: Why do male seahorses and male pipefish have babies, not the females?
Because these species have a reproductive strategy where the male carries and incubates the eggs in a brood pouch, fertilizes them, and then releases the babies, allowing for more offspring and a unique family structure.
How Is Sea Glass Made? Lesson 120
Q: How deep and wide can tree roots grow?
Tree roots typically stay relatively shallow but spread wide, reaching about 2 to 5 times the width of the tree's crown, which can result in distances of 60 to 100 feet wide for a large tree. This wide spread helps stabilize the tree and absorb water and nutrients.
