  • Love everything!

Being a Jew from Kentucky can be hard. Being able to listen to rabbinical stories as well as Kentuckian stories is so healing! Plus I can’t even express how much I have learned about Judaism!

  • Fantastic listen!

Fun, educational, and such positive vibes! Great chemistry between the hosts and DO NOT sleep on the intro and outro songs which are laugh out loud funny. My only concern is that I need to wait a MONTH between episodes!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tishrei: In appreciation of Jewish food
Q: What is the next big thing in Jewish food?
The next big thing might be kosher restaurants appealing to broader audiences and the celebration of Jewish food as part of broader culinary heritage instead of separating it as 'other'.
Tishrei: In appreciation of Jewish food
Q: What’s something that people assume is a Jewish food but actually isn't?
People might assume hummus or bagels are exclusively Jewish foods, but they're not; bagels, for instance, have Polish origins and can be found without Jewish cultural ties.
Tishrei: In appreciation of Jewish food
Q: What is Jewish food?
Jewish food can be defined as any ethno-cultural food that reflects the ingredients, preparation styles, and meaning associated with Jewish culture and holidays, adapting through migration and local communities.
Cheshvan: If I am only for myself, what am I?
Q: Did your Jewish values play a role in your decision to go into politics?
Absolutely, the goal is to "tikkun olam" or repair the world, which has always been important to me.
Cheshvan: If I am only for myself, what am I?
Q: How did you go from being Dr. Berg to state senator Dr. Berg?
It was my original intent; I had always wanted to be involved in politics and after a series of circumstances, I decided to run for office.
