David Bashevkin casts a wide net in exploring the Jewish world with a deep commitment to openness and authenticity. I am constantly amazed and gratified and learn so much from him and his wonderful guests. A must listen for anyone who wants to understand Judaism and Jews in contemporary society.
I'm quite disappointed that 18Forty chose to elevate a voice who called human beings she disagreed with "worthless biotrash".
Conversations are critical, and important, and well thought out. R’ Baveshkin does a fantastic job, great guests, important topics etc. My one call out .. R’ Baveshkin, all due respect, talks waaaay too much. Let the convo flow!
If you’re looking for a lifeline to Judaism, to form a connection with the religion or understanding it or seeing it through the perspective of some of the great leaders of our times and the past, I highly recommend you listen to this podcast it’s presented in a very easy to digest format with no intention of persuading you of anything, but just sharing some of the beauty that we have in Judaism.
This podcast brings discussion. I do not agree always with the veiwpoints in this podcast. There are times that I do not agree at all. Matter of a fact I often stay away from modernity, Respecting from a distance. This is why I listen. Not often are there people who present controversial ideas with the respect of other people and their perspectives. A person really wants to feel safe to open up. A person needs to hear what they think and needs to react to contrary ideas in a kosher way. BH
