I started following Ryan’s work about 8 years and read his book FYF… I’m so stoked he started doing podcast again because of what I learn and choose to apply to my daily “battle rhythm” to keep growing as Dad, husband and team mate. His guest are tier 1 high performers and I look forward to listening to every new episode! Do yourself a favor and listen to his work to become more of an asset and less of a liability for everyone in your sphere.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

MTC 036: Brad Beeler | The Secret Service Playbook for Reading People, Building Trust & Uncovering the Truth
Q: How does the polygraph fit into truth verification, and when should it be used or not used?
The polygraph is a tool that increases accuracy into the upper 80s when used within tight, appropriate circumstances. It should not be used in court and should be guarded by strict protocols to avoid misuse. It's most effective when preceded by trustworthy interview conditions, a calm environment, and prior rapport-building—therefore, it's about the right tool for the right context rather than a universal solution.
MTC 036: Brad Beeler | The Secret Service Playbook for Reading People, Building Trust & Uncovering the Truth
Q: What are some practical strategies for safe dating or professional interactions based on this framework?
Use multiple interactions before forming strong trust, avoid piecemeal trust from rapid environments, and look for consistent behavior across different contexts. Self-assessment and researching a person's online footprint can help. In conversations, listen actively, avoid “me too” responses that derail the flow, and use deep, open-ended questions to uncover genuine shared interests and motivations.
MTC 035: Sebastien Page | Why the Best Leaders STOP Chasing Wins (Mastery Ego)
Q: What was the lightbulb moment when psychology became a critical component of leadership and self-mastery?
Sebastien describes a moment of recognizing the power of mastering processes and detaching from outcomes, realizing that improvement comes from mastery rather than chasing wins, which then translated into leadership practices.
MTC 034: David Meltzer | The Fastest Way To Get What You Want
Q: You are really big on relationships. Can you share a specific story or example of how relationships are more important than financial capital?
David Meltzer explains that relationships are a form of capital—community and culture—which can create more opportunities and faster progress than money alone. He emphasizes building a network of people who help each other, and how a strong relational ecosystem accelerates outcomes.
MTC 030: Norman Wolfe | The Leader of $1.2B Turnaround at HP
Q: What does the application of relationship and context energy look like?
Wolfe shares an example of a client organization where the disconnect in context between sales and product development teams was hindering execution. By uncovering the differing perspectives, they could address the root causes of their issues.
