Like the great sports talk hosts of the past, Cooney earned his chops as a beat writer for the Daily News and grew up in the area. It’s great to have Philly sports talk from a knowledgeable host.

There are plenty of sports commentaries that cover sports markets but don’t emulate what the true emotion and current sense/feeling of the community actually is. That ain’t the case with the Cuz. He and Choonis are the true ambassadors of the Philly fans.
