I really enjoy this show. I listen to a lot of story telling/fiction podcasts; some are full cast and some are narrated more like an audio book. Both styles are great but I think I actually prefer the Elizabeth Crown stories narrated instead of casted.
The only “downside” is that stories release dates are spread out. I appreciate that the chapters are uploaded back to back, but the different story lines come out anywhere from 6 months to a year apart. I usually have to go back and re-listen t... more
I like the concept of Elizabeth Crowne. Strong, smart female detective of supernatural weirdness. The stories are solid and the voice acting is great. Well done!
New story is the most ambitious EC story. Kudos to RI!
This podcast has it all...intriguing stories, interesting characters, and wonderful narration! It’s also extremely well-written. I’ve listened to so many podcasts where the writers, in an attempt to be descriptive, do not use appropriate words for the context; that is not the case with this podcast. I enjoyed the stories so much I also read the e-books, which I highly recommend for fans.
I love a podcast that I can fall into, that I can fall asleep to. I love a podcast I wake up hours later and enjoy going back realizing I’ve missed several different stories. I can go back and pick what I’ve left and carry on, this is that beautiful podcast! It’s interesting, intriguing and begs you to go back! Love it!!
Great stories told by a great story teller
this is a fantastic podcast, highly recomended just get it, you will love it
I love the character and most of the stories!!! But sometimes the stories are a little too descriptive, if that makes sense. A story that could be told in 3 or 4 parts, even up being 5.
I absolutely LOVED the first few seasons of Elizabeth Crowne when they were narrated by the author but the newer seasons that are voiced by actors are absolutely terrible. I haven't even been able to get through the stories, sadly, because the acting is so bad. The girl they chose to play Elizabeth is especially bad...she doesn't seem nearly as strong or compelling as the (essentially brilliant) writing of the character deserves. PLEASE BRING ROBERT'S NARRATIONS BACK!!!!! I TRULY LOVE HIS STORIE... more
I’m so excited to have found this show!
Great narration of really engaging stories.
I’m usually not a fan of dramatic reading podcasts; I usually go for full cast dramas, but Elizabeth Crowne has proven to be very well-done and nice to listen to. It’s presented very well, and it’s beautifully written (it really makes my inner grammar Nazi happy). The characters are strong, the plots engaging, and the atmosphere similar in feel to the era in which it takes place rather than a more modern-day feel. I’m really liking it; I’ll be sticking around for a while.
A story of a women, spoken by a man really, dumping this podcast!
