林慧倩出生於臺中清水，美國加州州立大學洛杉磯分校設計碩士，她擅長以現代藝術精神為基礎，運用多樣化的媒材，融合內斂的東方思想，呈現獨特的藝術美感。「返璞歸真」意指去掉外部的裝飾，回到最原始純樸的本質，李慧倩以回歸自然為出發點，以自然為創作的靈感來源，發揮探索媒材的實驗精神，在傳統媒材上進行非傳統的創新。作品類型包含水墨、藍曬、壓克力等複合媒材，其中又以水墨為主軸，隨著藝術家的感覺經驗自由無拘束地應用各類媒材，表現方圓自然、返璞歸真的創作理念。
