  • Let the speakers talk …

The host is too talkative, too argumentative, and is much less thoughtful and insightful than he thinks. He presupposes and theorizes to constant dead ends.

  • Let the guests speak.

Great content but I feel the interviewer interjects too much and talks over the guest. Especially the Rowing Blazers episode.

  • THE industry expert

Tim Mosso may know all the watch references but no one understands the watch industry like Ariel - and shares it! I appreciate his open mind and sharp new takes which he shares in written and audio form. Superlative is a deep dive for industry members and watch fans alike. If you are either, it’s a must listen. Thanks for all you do Ariel!

  • I’ve tried but I just can’t!

It appears to me that over the past decade or so there has been a trend for interviewers to pontificate during their question to their guest/interviewee. Often giving the appearance that they are trying to highlight themselves as opposed to the guest. I as a listener cannot get past this trend any longer. Mr. Adams who seems like a very nice and knowledgeable person is guilty of this so often that I cannot get past it.

Do your listeners a favor and posit an interesting, non self centric questi... more

Marine Lemonnier-Brennan of 289 Consulting on Connecting Brands, Media, and Collectors
Q: What makes 289 Consulting different for indie brands?

By transitioning from entertainment to PR, she leveraged a background in professional communications to bring a structured, global PR approach to watchmaking, starting with Vacheron Constantin and eventually founding 289 Consulting.
Alex Rosenfield of Urban Jürgensen on Reviving a Historic Brand for a New Generation
Q: Can you talk a little about the process of deciding what direction Urban Jürgensen moves in next and how that decision is made?
The decision comes from a blend of emotional and thoughtful consideration—what we want to wear, what we love, and what we believe in as collectors—rather than chasing market data or trends; it's about long-term, meaningful direction and staying true to the brand's DNA.
Alex Rosenfield of Urban Jürgensen on Reviving a Historic Brand for a New Generation
Q: If this had not gone through, what do you think you would have been professionally do right now?
It's hard to say, but I don't think I would have ended up in watches; it wasn't my intention—they were a wonderful opportunity that happened by chance, and I've grown to be grateful for the industry and the people in it.
