  • Great Show

Love this show! The conversations are thoughtful, insightful and despite a background in environmental science and sustainability I learn so much every episode. My only issue is that Josh’s audio needs to be tweaked. Guests voices are always loud and clear but Josh’s voice is hard to hear - like you’re using your laptop mic and 4 ft from it. Fix that please, but otherwise keep these coming!

  • Forest products

I enjoy the thoughtful podcast on the Sterling company and the mention of regenerative forestry. There is a professional certificate in sustainable forestry , and industry standard that makes sure forests will be there for generations to come. The professionals and the forest companies that qualify for this are doing reliable work for the economy and for the environment. Look for “sustainable forestry “ products.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The $1.9 Trillion Opportunity in Circular Retail
Q: How did Borobabi evolve into ManyMoons and eventually ManyCo, and what core problem were you trying to solve?
The founders started by addressing waste in baby apparel, experimenting with rental and then direct selling. When the burn rate and funding dynamics changed, they pivoted to sell excess inventory and returns to prove the model. This led to a broader platform (ManyCo) that provides the infrastructure for brands to manage post-primary inventory—returns, overstock, and resale—while keeping the brand value intact and using AI to optimize pricing and channels.
20 Million Acres Later: Regenerative Ag Has Its Business Model
Q: What's at stake for farmers in adopting regenerative practices?
Farmers face risks to their yield and revenue, so the right incentives must be offered to encourage them to shift to regenerative practices.
20 Million Acres Later: Regenerative Ag Has Its Business Model
Q: How do you communicate the value proposition to farmers?
We've shifted from explaining what we do to having discussions with trusted advisors to clarify how our programs fit into farmers' operations.
20 Million Acres Later: Regenerative Ag Has Its Business Model
Q: What is the core idea of Indigo to make agriculture more sustainable?
Indigo focuses on capturing data and benefits associated with regenerative agriculture, providing farmers with incentives to adopt sustainable practices that improve resilience and profitability.
Solar for 45 Million Renters: How Shine Gets Building Owners to Say "Yes"
Q: What is the core product of Shine?
The core product is solving the split incentive problem by creating a software platform that tracks electricity usage for tenants and billing them accordingly, allowing owners to profit from solar.
