Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Korey Mobbs HFC Jackson County High School
Q: What are some things you changed or what was different when you arrived at Jackson County to lead the program?
The core change was assembling the right staff and building a shared vision from the top down, plus understanding the county's multi-school dynamics to collaborate effectively, which laid the groundwork for sustained success over the following seasons.
Korey Mobbs HFC Jackson County High School
Q: So your first head coaching job, you kind of got to ease into it a little bit because you had been there. Do you think that helped with your transition?
Yes, it helped to have a built-in leadership path and to be gradually entrusted with responsibilities, which allowed me to learn on the job while still supporting the program, ultimately easing the transition into being the head coach.
Bobby Ramsay HFC Andrew Jackson HS FL
Q: What would you tell a young man thinking about going into coaching?
Encourage him to pursue it for the right reasons, find a good program and mentor, and develop a core philosophy that you grow over time; don't chase titles, and seek a path where you can see day-to-day what coaching really looks like.
Andy Woodard AD/HFC Edmund Burke Academy
Q: So what was the first state championship like and how did the season unfold?
The first title was a culmination of a season that felt fast and surreal; the town and players were in motion toward preparation, execution, and postseason run, which ended in a championship after navigating a season full of intense focus and teamwork.
Andy Woodard AD/HFC Edmund Burke Academy
Q: Well, I know you're a coaches kid, so you might have grown up all over the place, but where did you actually go to high school?
I grew up around coaching life and attended West Lawrence High School in Dublin, Georgia, where I learned from mentors like the head coach John Kenney and was coached by my father as the defensive coordinator.
