  • Destroying their bodies for entertainment

It’s abundantly clear the damage this sport does to the people who play it, many not even making it to a professional level in order to offset the cost of their needed healthcare after ruining their bodies and brains for your entertainment. There’s no safe way to play tackle football. Ban it now.

  • Very Disappointed

An episode about buying or selling contenders off-season, and no mention of the Mike Vrabel situation, which is clearly impacting the Patriots, and you don’t even reference it? I don’t trust your analysis anymore.

  • Derrik pronunciations

Overall the content is great, and I’ve been an avid listener since the beginning of the show.

Please teach Derrik Klassen how to pronounce names like DeVonta (AY not UH) Smith, Dont’a (AY not UH) Hightower, Kyle (HYOO not JOO) Juszczyk, among others.

Nate Tice had his pronunciation issues, but they were acknowledged and corrected in a fun way. Since Derrik joined, the mistakes go unchecked.

  • Video ads impacting listening experience

Want to use this review to provide feedback that since the video ads have been introduced on Apple Podcasts, the playback quality has gotten significantly worse. It skips around and gets lost between segments, sometimes restarting completely or playing different segments on top of each other. I have not experienced this with other podcasts in this app

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Inside the TE revolution — from someone living it
Q: What elements of the Chargers' plan stood out to you in those initial Zooms, and how do you see your role expanding beyond Baltimore?
The Chargers laid out a vision where I could contribute in multiple facets—attacking edges, blocking, and integrating with running backs and tackles—so I could help the offense in more ways than Baltimore allowed, aligning with the team's run-game emphasis and play-action concepts.
Inside the TE revolution — from someone living it
Q: And so I want to start this conversation at a pretty simple place, but an important one. Why do you think this is happening?
It's a confluence of factors: strategic shifts from teams like the Rams and Chiefs, the value of big-slot and blocking tight ends, the evolution of defenses toward bigger nickel looks, and the economics of the position making tight ends a cost-effective way to create mismatches and explosive plays.
Who is the best true utility player in the NFL?
Q: Who is the best true utility player in the league right now?
Jacoby Myers is cited as the best offensive utility player due to his ability to play multiple roles and still approach 1,000 receiving yards, while on defense Quinton Lake is offered as a versatile defender who can slide between roles, particularly in nickel and safety.
Which current NFL quarterbacks are worth acquiring for the #1 pick?
Q: Would you rather have CJ Stroud or the number one overall pick?
Stroud is favored here due to his established trajectory, similar to a high-caliber prospect, and the practicality of quarterback development behind a strong line and coaching staff.
Which current NFL quarterbacks are worth acquiring for the #1 pick?
Q: Specifically, which quarterbacks would the Raiders have traded the number one overall pick for this year straight up?
They weigh age, contract, and runway, considering names like Trevor Lawrence and Jared Goff as top possibilities, with Caleb Williams and CJ Stroud as strong contenders depending on the roster context and long-term goals.
