  • Recent Building the Beast pod

Wasn’t planning on listening to it. I’ll listen to Mays. Someone actually described Mendoza as a ‘goofy white guy.’ White? Everything and everyone in this country needs to be seen through a white lens? Really?

  • Great NFL Content

Since the unwelcome and unfortunate disbanding of the heroes, I have been listening to TAFS. It’s a rich and detailed show which adds to my enjoyment of the game and certainly helps with fantasy decisions. My only feedback: Derek, please stop saying the work like every three words. Dave, please learn to stop talking when a point has already been made. Thanks all!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Vikings swing for the fences with Kyler Murray
Q: Why do you think the Vikings landed Kyler Murray over other options?
Alec argues they viewed Murray as the most talented quarterback available in the cycle, with enough upside to potentially maximize what's already in place in Minnesota, while also providing insurance and a path to accelerate JJ McCarthy's development.
Biggest questions of the 2026 NFL offseason
Q: How do the Cowboys plan to approach this offseason?
The Cowboys have a critical offseason ahead, where they potentially leverage two first-round picks and should not hesitate to spend money in free agency to fortify their roster while supporting Dak Prescott.
Biggest questions of the 2026 NFL offseason
Q: What are the Vikings going to do at quarterback this offseason?
The Vikings might try to acquire a veteran quarterback while acknowledging the limitations of JJ McCarthy, indicating they can't waste another season without properly addressing the quarterback situation.
Building the Beast: 2026 NFL Draft order takeaways and Dane Brugler's All-Rookie team
Q: What is your national championship matchup?
Dane predicts Indiana versus Ole Miss, favoring Indiana due to their impressive recent performances, while Dave also anticipates an exciting game, leaning towards Indiana because of Mendoza's skills.
Building the Beast: Dane Brugler's end-of-season mock draft
Q: What do you think of the potential trades in your mock?
It's realistic to consider trades at the top since two teams picking one and two do not need quarterbacks, making it a different situation from previous drafts.
