  • What a joy to hear these ladies every week!

I've a super fan of Melrose Place since discovering it in the mid 2000s and recognising young versions of so many actors from other shows I loved. The lovely Laura Leighton, ever-funny Courtney Thorne-Smith and observant, on-the-ball Daphné Zuniga are such joys to listen to every week. I especially loved hearing from Chip Hayes, Doug Savant, Vanessa Williams and Grant Show (but that episode was so short!). Please have Vanessa back at least once before the season is up! I hope you'll have Heather... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Doug Savant
Q: Did you have say in the graphic T-shirts worn by your character?
Doug mentioned that he only chose a t-shirt for the AIDS ride and that most wardrobe choices were made by the costume department.
Hope ("Burned" S1 EP 10)
Q: Is there a pattern of women in the show wearing red when about to do something bad?
That could be a conscious choice by the wardrobe team, but it needs further observation.
Hope ("Burned" S1 EP 10)
Q: Did the writers already know they were going to portray Alison's father as a sexual abuser?
The writers did put little breadcrumbs that Alison's family wasn't good, but they didn't inform the actors in advance about the portrayal.
Thomas Calabro
Q: Did you enjoy playing the good or bad side of your character more?
Playing the bad character was more fun because you have the freedom to make more elaborate choices and be proactive.
Thomas Calabro
Q: What was your audition process like for Melrose Place?
It was my 15th network test after my first series, and I was already doing a lot of directing in New York, running out of money. I eventually booked the role of Michael Mancini after initially wanting to audition for a different character.
