I hired Dain for coaching to have someone to talk to as I learned more about development on my own. I ended up asking for a refund after our first call where he essentially just criticized me for 10-15 min. He agreed to give me my money back and then gave me a long winded excuse while it would take him a week. 3 weeks later he still hasn’t refunded me and has completely stopped responding to my calls and texts.
So happy every time Dain posts a new episode, which unfortunately isn’t much these days. Keep it up, man! Love the book recommendations.
Great for beginners and veterans alike. Dain has incredible knowledge and motivation. This podcast has changed my life for the better!
As a noob I need less motivational speech and more hard edge tech talk. When it's good it's great, when it's not good it's a bit preachy but u can fast forward until it gets good again. At least worth checking out.
The content is okay, but Dain Miller's speaking style is mega obnoxious. From off-the-cuff invented stats to calling developers "a senior guy" and "he" literally all of the time. Not all developers are men, brah. Listened to 2 episodes and couldn't take any more. Advice includes "work hard" and "do tutorials."
