  • Where’s Bobby?

Am I the only one who wonders why this show continues to include Bobby Herbert’s name when he only appears a few times a month (at best)? Also. Steve Geller is probably a great guy but he fumbles over words and says the same things (“obviously”, “man oh man”) over and over. Mike D and Charlie get are great, though.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What Will Wade is doing with this roster isn't REALLY breaking any rules
Q: What has been the most surprising element of Will Wade's roster-building approach lately?
Glen notes that Wade's emphasis on older, international players with potential waivers, and the willingness to pursue aggressive alignment with NCAA rules, stands out as both controversial and strategically savvy.
Coach O joining Lane Kiffin's staff is going to work "glowingly"
Q: Do you expect LSU to add another cornerback or defensive lineman through the Juco ranks before summer camp?
Blake suggests LSU is actively pursuing additions, facing competition from other SEC schools, and emphasizes that depth is a concern, with emphasis on interior and edge players to bolster the defensive front.
Full Show 5-22-26: Saints OTAs are the first REAL practices we get during the offseason
Q: What is your take on the Raiders week three matchup and Fernando Mendoza versus Kirk Cousins for week three?
Emory Hunt weighs in on Mendoza's high floor and athleticism, arguing that a careful, gradual ramp of his exposure could help him thrive if given the opportunity, while acknowledging the risks of when to start a rookie in a high-stakes game.
Expect Coach O to connect with LSU's young defensive linemen right away
Q: How involved will Ed Orgeron be with the players on the field and in recruiting?
The hosts express that Orgeron is expected to be deeply involved, not just in recruiting but in direct coaching of the defensive line to maximize the potential of younger players.
Can Coach Mosley fix the Pelicans' major defense and rebounding deficiencies?
Q: What changes do they need to make to become a better defensive team, in terms of personnel and strategy?
They need to evaluate whether there are enough defensive-minded players, avoid over-reliance on switches, and consider strengthening physicality and conditioning while improving decision-making and consistency among young players.
