  • Where’s Bobby?

Am I the only one who wonders why this show continues to include Bobby Herbert’s name when he only appears a few times a month (at best)? Also. Steve Geller is probably a great guy but he fumbles over words and says the same things (“obviously”, “man oh man”) over and over. Mike D and Charlie get are great, though.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 4: There's a great group of college starting quarterbacks at Manning Passing Academy
Q: What was it like when you first started with the Saints and how did it influence your approach here?
The discussion reveals a learning curve from being an early, hands-on trainer to understanding the broader, multi-staff recovery approach, which has evolved to emphasize body mechanics, fatigue management, and a larger medical staff to support a growing program.
Full Show 6-25-26: Something is "off" about Alvin Kamara's situation with the Saints
Q: Do you see Alvin Kamara on the Saints football team for 2026?
Jim Derry/Systemic stance: No, Kamara is unlikely to be on the Saints in 2026 because the team's structure, loyalty to the locker room, and cap constraints point towards moving on rather than re-signing Kamara as a leading back, especially with Etienne in the mix and the need to address RB depth.
The Pelicans SHOULD sell, get picks, and build through the draft
Q: What would it take for the Pelicans to part with Eve Missy (likely 'Meesee' in transcript) to move into the top 10, and is that a price worth paying when there are multiple draft assets and young players to offer?
They discuss that moving into the top 10 would require substantial assets, possibly two future first-round picks and a veteran or young player, but warn that overpaying could hamstring the franchise's competitive window and long-term growth.
The Pelicans SHOULD sell, get picks, and build through the draft
Q: But if you're moving on from Trey Murphy, sending him to Boston plus extra assets on top of that, when you can already get a lot of draft selections and maybe even young talent in a return for Trey Murphy, that feels like it would be poor asset management.
The guests and hosts push back that while Murphy is valuable, the team should avoid reckless asset dumps for a star; instead, they should consider multiple future-first picks and protect the core around the young players, preserving cap flexibility and long-term value.
There's a lot of pressure on the US Men's National Team entering the World Cup
Q: Which traditional powers should fans monitor early in the tournament, and where might the US have vulnerabilities or opportunities in the opening phase?
Argentina and Brazil are highlighted as favorites to watch, with risks around injuries and form; the US could exploit matches against teams with travel and climate adjustments, while maintaining focus on its attacking potential and group-stage resilience.
