  • Where’s Bobby?

Am I the only one who wonders why this show continues to include Bobby Herbert’s name when he only appears a few times a month (at best)? Also. Steve Geller is probably a great guy but he fumbles over words and says the same things (“obviously”, “man oh man”) over and over. Mike D and Charlie get are great, though.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

All four NFC South teams have reasons for optimism entering the 2026 season
Q: Does Carolina have the roster depth to defend their crown, or did they just catch lightning in a bottle last year?
Greg suggests Carolina will be tested by a tougher schedule and will need sustained depth across both lines and the defense, though they've invested significantly in key players and could define the division if their improvements hold.
Full Show 6-30-26: LeBron James is returning for a 24th NBA season, but NOT with the Lakers
Q: With the transfer portal and high school recruiting in the mix, how does Nicholls State balance immediate needs with long-term roster-building?
Darion Brown describes a blended approach, prioritizing Louisiana-based players while staying open to JuCo and transfer players, emphasizing fit, energy, and culture as central pillars of recruitment.
Full Show 6-30-26: LeBron James is returning for a 24th NBA season, but NOT with the Lakers
Q: Blake, what are your thoughts on LSU's DB room and the potential trio of commitments this week, and how might that shape LSU's defense in 2026?
Blake explains LSU could be getting three defensive backs this week (including Jay Nanny and David Jones) and reinforces how versatile, length-backed corners fit Corey Raymond's scheme, potentially elevating the defense with depth and competition.
Hour 4: The buzz about the USMNT entering the Knockout Stages is real
Q: What are your thoughts on the Senegal and Belgium potential round-of-16, and how the US might line up against either if they advance?
Senegal's pace and depth could threaten Belgium's aging lineup; Belgium has talent but lacks cutting edge, so the US could face a fast, open game or a tighter affair depending on tactical choices; the US should be prepared for multiple scenarios and capitalize on chances.
Hour 4: The buzz about the USMNT entering the Knockout Stages is real
Q: Chris, now looking at some of the World Cup action going on. Tomorrow is the big one that we're all curious about. USA are going to be taking on Bosnia. What do you know about this Bosnia team and how are you feeling about the matchup?
Bosnia has experienced attackers and a veteran presence, but the US shows more depth and speed, which should translate into a competitive matchup; Dest and McKinney will have to disrupt Bosnia's midfield while the US relies on edge in attack to break through.
