  • Great insight into nuances of IndyCar

I’ve been following IndyCar and CART since taking Bobby Rahal and an ESPN camera crew out fishing for bonefish in S. Biscayne Bay, Miami FL in 1996 before the 1st Homestead race. I’ve learned a lot over the years watching the televised races. But I learn a lot more during televised practices where commentators have more time to expound on nuances of Indy.

But, listening to Conor and review of prior races, his guest racers, what’s happening in the paddock and w the race team is another step ab... more

  • Solid show

Focuses on indycar news and race recaps but also addresses motor racing in general. Race winner interviews are the real bonus. Longer and more informative than the hinch & Rossi show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

218 - Raising the Bar - Sarah Fisher Reflects on Her Time with Dreyer Reinbold Racing
Q: What does it take for the next generation of female racers to break through to IndyCar?
It requires serious, sustained commitment, support beyond just one race team, and manufacturer-level backing, along with drivers who can compete against top male racers rather than just performing within an all-female field.
218 - Raising the Bar - Sarah Fisher Reflects on Her Time with Dreyer Reinbold Racing
Q: How did transitioning between teams shape your view of DRR's culture and leadership?
Dennis's leadership set a standard of accountability and collaboration that I could fit into, and returning to DRR showed me the family-like culture persisted and evolved with new leadership bringing in more business insight.
218 - Raising the Bar - Sarah Fisher Reflects on Her Time with Dreyer Reinbold Racing
Q: What did Dennis Reinbold mean to you and how did he affect your career from the start?
He gave me the opportunity to be myself, trusted my input, and backed me with support and sponsorship decisions, which helped me grow from Nazareth through my IndyCar career.
219 - Back on Top - Pato O'Ward Picks Up the Win at Mid-Ohio
Q: Pato, moving into a new type of IndyCar or a shift in the team, what would you change to improve on-track product if you could tweak one thing?
Pato suggested a potential option of having different car specifications for ovals versus road/street courses to optimize safety and racing quality, while acknowledging budget and feasibility concerns; he also stressed the importance of broader manufacturer involvement to increase competition.
217 - Rising Star - David Malukas Has Strong Runner-Up Finish at Road America
Q: How did the Indy 500 and Road America experiences shape your 2026 season outlook and goals for the rest of the year?
He said 2026 has been a clear step up, with a rocket-ship race car and more opportunities to pass, learn, and push for wins across all three disciplines (ovals, street, road courses).
