  • Ebbs and flows

During the race season the podcast is really good. Off season it seems like Rossi doesn’t want to be there and Tim ends up talking more which no one wants.

  • Always enjoyable

An always interesting racing / travel / lifestyle podcast.

The insights that Alex and James bring frequently help explain or define what’s going on in the sport of motor racing for the fans.

And the recent interviews with Mark Miles and then Dan Towriss (and Colton and Will) were great:?both entertaining and informative.

Marcus Armstrong
Q: Is Rookie of the Year a primary goal for you this season, and how do you view that in context?
Armstrong clarifies that Rookie of the Year was not his initial primary objective, focusing instead on race wins and podiums. He acknowledges the competition and his learning curve, while recognizing that achieving Rookie of the Year would come with a significant financial check and be a meaningful team achievement if it happens.
Marcus Armstrong
Q: What was the moment you felt IndyCar could be a realistic path, and how did you end up with Ganassi?
He recalls noticing the IndyCar environment during a Nashville trip and being drawn to its vibe and competitiveness. After evaluating Formula 2 options and a pivotal discussion with Callum Milot, he pursued IndyCar, joining Ganassi and describing it as a perfect fit for his driving style and development.
Marcus Armstrong
Q: What sparked the move from New Zealand to Europe, and how did that shape your career path?
Armstrong explains that he left New Zealand at 13 to chase karting in Europe, driven by opportunities in classic European racing ladders. He describes the parental concerns, the intense early years in Italy, and how the experience built his driving development, resilience, and network, ultimately paving the way to Formula 2 and IndyCar opportunities.
The GOAT: Mario Andretti
Q: Who was the best teammate you had?
The best teammate was Jack Eakes, who supported my qualifying and meshed well with me, making the team dynamic positive.
The GOAT: Mario Andretti
Q: So it was just simply, what's your favorite race car that you've raced?
I would say any race car I could win a race with; basically, it can go wrong there, but I've loved many cars, including Bronner Hawk, which was a Brabham and my first rear-engine experience.
