  • Off to a great start!

Really enjoyed the first episode and the fun scale stories. Looking forward to learning about more of the sketchplanations which I’ve followed for a few years now. The leadership style funnel vs umbrella sketch is one that’s always stuck with me.

Microlives & The Art of Uncertainty with Sir David Spiegelhalter

Microlives & The Art of Uncertainty with Sir David Spiegelhalter
Q: David, you've spent quite a lot of your career applying the analysis of data and statistics in the world of medicine, is that right?
Yes, medicine has been the main driver for statistics, particularly in post-war and up to the 80s and 90s, revolutionizing how statistical methods are applied in medicine.
MicroAdventures with Al Humphreys
Q: How would you define a microadventure?
Think of what feels like an adventure to you, what gets you really excited. And then think, what's a smaller version of that that I can do?
The Golden Circle
Q: How do you do that at scale or still get the why?
Ollie discussed that keeping the 'why' at scale is difficult, but they try to instill their core values in new employees, looking for a shared vision during the hiring process.
