An interesting film about poverty, gender and race.
I was really fascinated with the idea of a short length podcast (comapred to those I typically listen to) and was familiar with Tom's work from his other podcasts. I wondered how much could be communicated in just a few short minutes. What I'm discovering is that the podcast itself becomes a kernel of an idea that I tend to reflect on long after each episode is finished. Further, as a body of work it becomes a fascinating digital autobiography. Thanks for sharing this with us Tom.

In just a few minutes a day, Tom considers, relates, theorizes, and sometimes rambles about a universe of seemingly unrelated topics. Drawing on a network of connections and a fascinating personal history, he weaves these threads into larger themes, and gives you something to think about while you sip your morning coffee.
Great podcast. Super interesting. Tom Barbalet explores the podcast medium with small, easily digestible stores, thoughts and musings. Very cool.
Short Funk is an interesting snapshot of one persons experiences that leaves me thinking about the bigger picture behind everyday things.
Highly recomended.
