I end up learning so much about different cultures through stories of food and seeds. Episode 39 with members of Philadelphia’s Karen community is my favorite yet. The family was so generous with their stories, and Blut’s interpretation was amazing! Keep up the amazing work with this podcast. This is the kind of content that the world needs right now and always.
I don’t write a lot of these but I am compelled to for Seeds and Their People because it truly is giving me hope and inspiration in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. The love just pours out of each episode. I listen to this pod while I’m on the farm weeding, seeding, harvesting, & transplanting. It keeps me grounded in the work I am doing and reminds me that seeds are a part of people. This work is generous, essential, and an act of love. I’m so thankful to be reminded and inspired by everyone’s stories. Thank you for doing this work.
The stories shared here bring so much value to the community growth of seed saving. Thank you for sharing! Cheers, A fellow seed farmer and company, Sow Local Seeds, Canada. 🌱
I always learn something from these interviews and they always leave me wanting to add more crops to my garden.
