  • Horrendous Marketting

I had never heard of this Pod. Although I did love Veep. Saw clips of the Bradley Whitford (an American Treasure) episode on social media, so I sought it out. Episodes are available on Apple Podcasts but only redacted clips. In order to hear the entire show this marketing team wants you to subscribe on Patreon. For just the regular episode.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Connor Ratliff | Secret Honor
Q: Would you vote for this president?
The guest suggests that while the real version might not be palatable, the fictional portrayal, especially in the Philip Baker Hall performance, would be appealing in certain contexts due to its perceived effort and humanity.
Jamie Lee | The Brady Bunch In The White House
Q: What stood out about Gary Cole's performance and the film's balance of satire and sincerity?
The guests and Tim highlighted that Gary Cole anchored the satire with a grounded, real presence, making the comedy feel sincere even as it lampoons the Brady Bunch world.
Jamie Lee | The Brady Bunch In The White House
Q: Why did you choose this movie?
Jamie chose The Brady Bunch In The White House because she loves the Brady Bunch world, Gary Cole and Shelley Long, and because she wanted a fun, self-aware project to discuss with the hosts.
Stewart Bailey | Death Race 2000
Q: Who in this film has the Shimizu Heat?
The hosts explain the Shimizu Heat as the dentist's attention in Veep and translate it to the film, ultimately suggesting Sylvester Stallone as the standout up-and-comer whose rising profile aligns with the era.
Stewart Bailey | Death Race 2000
Q: Would you vote for this president?
Despite some sympathy for Frankenstein's expressed ideals, the group agrees they would not vote for him, reflecting skepticism toward the character and the regime the film satirizes.
