I tried giving this podcast a chance but it’s hard to listen to. Neither of these two people are like-able or particularly articulate. It’s like listening to two teenage girls at a slumber party.
Both of these people are NPCs in every sense of the meme, with the depth of a puddle and the intelligence of squirrel.
The massive overuse of “umm” and “like”, combined with the uptalk, dead air and giggling, are bad enough. It’s very irritating on the surface, underneath it’s a sign of their lack o... more
The show is a little insidery, but that works for me because I have a lot of the same pop culture background as the hosts. I find it charming when people name check Griffin McElroy, but I could see how that might alienate your average joe listener. I can tell though that the people on the show are good friends and it shines on this cast! Check it out!
Very good.
But maybe sometimes you should. These group has things they love and want to share, but it doesn't always work out the way you think. Delightful and delirious all in one measure.
I never really know what things I should check out, but Ruin My Life provides a really interesting deep dive into things to get passionate about
Excited to see the directions Kelsey and Jason take with Ruin My Life! I've enjoyed the first episodes and am ready to hear more!
