Rom-Com Review

Anneka Van Scoyoc

There's nothing Anneka loves more than dissecting a good movie and there's nothing Alejandro loves more than watching two people fall in love. Together they make up the Rom/Com Review team as they plow through old and new rom/coms to identify just what it is about this genre that so captivates the both of them.

  • Perfect for couples

Anneka and Ale are super passionate about their love of all things rom-com. For the uninitiated, they review romantic comedy films some they’ve seen and others it’s their first viewing. I love the fact they are looking at older films and not just what came out in recent months and hearing about hidden gems they’ve come across and recommended or recommend you pass. Favorite segment is what’s aged the wo... more

  • Let’s talk about chemistry…

… because Anneka and Ale have great chemistry while talking about on-screen chemistry. Their banter is witty and light-hearted, even when diving into analysis of rom-com characters’ relationships. I appreciate the structure of their review categories and I’m sure I’ll use the same when I watch rom-coms in the future!
