Hey folks! Just a little update on our scheduling for the current future; TL;DR: we're moving to biweekly for a bit to build up some buffer, but we'll fill those off weeks with bonus stuff if we have it, when we have it. Tune into this update for a f... more
The show starts a little slow, but that tends to be the case with actual play podcasts. It takes a while for the players to get in the groove and the story to settle in. Around episode 8-9 the story really gets going and
I have found it very enjoyable.
The show sprinkles in various game systems to resolve specific situations, which is an interesting mechanic and executed well but not my favorite mechanic. Doing this early in the podcast I felt slowed the settling in progress but the players s... more
I want to preface this by saying I love radiant âlicense to killâ eyre and if you love paladins like I do, youâll understand. BELIEVE ME, youâll understand. anyway !! with such a stunning soundtrack & one of the silliest camaraderies you'll have the pleasure of experiencing, rdac is one of the neatest actual play podcasts out there. they have so much fun in enabling bad decisions and i love that !! zach is a WONDERFUL gm & all the players are ALWAYS ready to escalate conflicts. to any potential ... more
From RDACâs diverse and enthusiastic cast to the incredible music, this is an actual play podcast that is not to be missed. Youâll find that every episode is rich with imaginative dialogue and characters⌠I mean, even the NPCâs are standout! I feel like a kid that just wants to collect them all as toys.
Iâm in awe of DM Zachary Fredericksonâs ability to craft such a colorful world and Iâm left on the edge of my seat after (and sometimes even during) every episode.
When I first discovered this podcast I thought it would just be another D&D podcast.
I was quickly proved wrong however as I was quickly thrust into a intricate and unique world of bizarre and heartwarming characters and storytelling of the highest order.
All of this tied together by the brilliant cast of players and the soft smooth tones of the GM.
I am so thankful I found this bodcast and I wait with baited breath until the next episode!
I am so thankful for coming across the random reddit post that pointed me toward this show! All the players are amazing and bring the characters to life effortlessly. Also the collective world building between the players and the GM is some of most creative and unique Iâve ever come across. Canât wait to see what will happen next and how season one wraps up!
I listen to easily 10 to 15 podcasts but this is the only one that I binged all the way through without stopping even for schoolwork. The mixture of genders, orientations, personalities, and ideas that make up both the cast of the podcast and the cast of the Titans make you fall in love with them again and again every week. They are as close to perfection as possible, and that's without Zach, who is the DM I aspire to be for my own party. All my love to the continued success of the rdacast <3
I love actual-play podcasts and Roll Dice and Cry is the cream of the crop, outclassing the titans of the genre like Critical Role and Adventure Zone by far in terms of story and player quality. The setting is a refreshing take on fantasy, a breath of fresh air with new takes on classic fantasy elements. Where other settings feel dull or barely distinguishable from each other, this setting is beautifully new, giving a sense of excitement whenever any new detail is brought up.

I've been listening to this podcast since day 0, and it makes me feel like I'm roleplaying with my friends. It is refreshing to hear a play podcast that all the NPC and PC are so charismatic and relatable. All the players come from a variety of places, genders and orientations... so expect a wonderfully diverse cast of people to fall in love with. Also, the wonderful DM Zach makes it easy to understand the dynamics of the game systems they use. So if you are new to Dungeon World this is a nice p... more
A good twist on Dungeon World with very likable players and characters.
this is..... very good content
Love how the actors interact
fun conversation and good story!
This is an amazing podcast. I have laughed in public way too many times because of it, and Iâm really interested in the story too. Listen to it right now, even if you arenât familiar with Actual Play podcasts or Dungeon World.
Each week I've been excitedly waiting for these guys to update and it's worth it every time. The podcast is just so fun. All the characters are great, and the DM is too. It already went somewhere I wasn't expecting and it just started, but now I'm even more excited for where it's going to go from here.
I can't wait to see these wonderful characters and the world they're in develop.
It's just two of us?
That's weird.
Anyway this is a great pod.
