  • Selema episode intro to it

Just finishing the convo with the man, the myth Selema Mabena Masekela . Wow! Very fluid, in the depth of the tranches type with a solid memory train voyage. Perfect tone and rhythm to be enjoyed late night or during a full woodshop building solo work day. The guest is the star of the show, yet the train ride is well stirred in the engine is perfectly fueled with all this action sport stoke all along the journey. Sit back, kick it with a cold one or a morning brew, story telling core!!!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Keeping the Fire Lit — Conner Crash
Q: When did Conner realize he could write his own material and push beyond collaborations?
As he settled in LA and later moved back to the East Coast, he started writing more of his own songs, saw the value of solo writing, and embraced the idea that he could bring his own voice to the forefront, which culminated in becoming more self-reliant in the studio and on stage.
Keeping the Fire Lit — Conner Crash
Q: How did the LA move shape his career and mindset?
Moving to LA at a young age was driven by the belief that success in music required being where the scene is. The experience included intense early years, near homelessness at times, brokering tech and music connections, and meeting people who furthered his craft, ultimately leading to a realization that home and a calmer environment could better nurture his artistry.
Keeping the Fire Lit — Conner Crash
Q: What sparked Conner Crash's dream of becoming a musician?
He describes growing up in a culture of outside activity—dirt bikes, BMX, and an environment that valued doing things with your hands—which taught him early on to chase challenges and stay creative even when plans changed. He also credits a family influence and an uncle who introduced him to guitar, planting the seed of music.
Jeremy Stenberg — Built From the Ground Up
Q: How do you think mentoring and giving back has shaped the FMX community?
Mentoring younger riders and welcoming them into the culture helps grow the sport, and seeing new generations push the envelope while staying true to the roots is what makes FMX thrive.
Jeremy Stenberg — Built From the Ground Up
Q: What inspired you to move from competition to building a brand and doing your own content after you quit contest riding?
I wanted to keep riding for the love of it, so I invested in creating content, partnering with sponsors on my own terms, and building DBK as a lifestyle and business that could sustain me beyond the podium.
