  • Michael Albert is probably one of the clearest, most enlightening communicators of the Left today. His lifelong commitment and passion for making the world a better place are truly inspiring. This podcast is one of the most pedagogical presentations of parecon available in any media. The episodes in the more recent ruminations series are delightful. I wish I had found his works earlier in life. I am deeply thankful for his work as a whole and for this podcast in particular.

  • Beacon of light in the dark

I stumbled upon this podcast initially from listening to Michael's debate with destiny the streamer. I was stunned by the sharpness and vividness of Michael's vision, something that is greatly lacking on the left. Wanting to hear more from Michael I found this podcast and started listening to it from the beginning. I'm up to eps 100 now and I love it still.

Talking Points

Ep 377 - Some AI, Dancing Robots and WCF Legal Upheavals, Prisons, Police, Courts and RPS
Q: As a criminal trial lawyer, in your younger years, did you ever defend anyone accused of murder in a state where the death penalty was on the table?
Yes, I did about 15 murder trials with the death penalty on the table. It's difficult knowing if you lose, someone may be put to death.
Ep 377 - Some AI, Dancing Robots and WCF Legal Upheavals, Prisons, Police, Courts and RPS
Q: Can you summarize that RPS recognizes the advocate model in which lawyers work on behalf of clients, regardless of guilt or innocence makes considerable sense?
Yes, because justice should not be reserved for the articulate or the well-connected. We need defenders for everyone, equally trained and available.
Ep 376 - WCF Religious Renovation and Choosing A Path To Life After Donald
Q: What are some things you think we should think, say and do now to have our resistance continue beyond Trump?
We must reflect on current actions that contribute to long-term goals of social justice and equity.
Ep 374 Snow and ICE Plus WCF Athletes Revolt
Q: How did you personally understand the role of athletes in society before RPS?
Initially, I thought we were cut above due to hard work and performance, but learned that income was more about power and bargaining than merit.
Ep 374 Snow and ICE Plus WCF Athletes Revolt
Q: What changed for athletes with the emergence of RPS?
The emergence of RPS led to athletes organizing and standing up against injustices, shifting from individual actions to collective activism.
