  • Always Great but..

Love your show. Ralph you’re a hero. But Russel Mokiber has gotten the Stephen Colbert Story incorrect. The problem REALLY is is that they know that due to FCC regulations, they would have to allow equal time to the type of evening show Colber has. It wasn’t CBS killing the interview, actually by pretending to cancel it they drew more eyes to it. The Streisand Effect. Was a clever move by the producers of the show.

Jimmy Dore on YouTube does a segment about it.

Roberts last class, he taught entitled wealth and poverty is available free of charge on YouTube.

His explanation of shareholder versus stakeholder. Capitalism is excellent.

There is also a documentary called “the last class“ featuring Robert.

  • A review of the “tic tic” review

The whole sale was a sham. They lied about the reasons. The data was already secured in US servers and had been since the last TikTok panic. The truth is that the Algorithm was letting the truth about the Gaza genocide out and that couldn’t be allowed. So powerful interests forced the sale to people that are openly Zionist and a former Israeli soldier was put in charge of content moderation.

    3/5 stars. Wouldn’t change a thing.

  • Tik tic deal

It’s my understanding that China is to remain the owner of the algorithm and just license it to the new owners. It was the algorithm that congress found to be a national security threat and the entire point to requiring the sale or shut down in the US

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Long War on Iran
Q: What would you say to this auditorium in Los Angeles, full of Iranian-American expatriates
I would stress that there is a danger in speaking from personal experience alone and warn against romanticizing pre-revolutionary Iran; the history shows both oppression and positive social changes, and any future should respect sovereignty and civil society without external manipulation.
The Long War on Iran
Q: Professor, tell us about the demonstrators in Iran who were being killed and provided at least a temporary pretext for this attack. Who were they?
The protests began around Christmas with currency collapse and economic grievances; they escalated into broad demonstrations where the government used force against protesters, while political opposition channels were suppressed, pushing many Iranians abroad to call for regime change.
Spineless Democrats
Q: What would a successful strategy look like beyond electing new faces?
He argues for building a national movement with a clear, affirmative vision (the Compact for the American People) that unites economic, military, and foreign-policy reform, supported by cross-partisan appeal.
“I Am Somebody!”
Q: What about the idea of defense lawyers participating in grand jury proceedings or as part of reform packages?
Defense lawyers could serve as an institutional check by expanding the share of public defender offices, enabling collective bargaining with prosecutors, coordinating on bail reforms and grand jury procedures, and pursuing systemic reforms beyond individual cases.
“I Am Somebody!”
Q: Professor Fish, you in the article talk about some reforms that you and the Institute touched on. What are your recommendations?
Recommended reforms include obligating prosecutors to present both guilt and innocence evidence, excluding illegally obtained evidence, allowing live witnesses, and providing a transcript and post hoc review; expanding defense involvement and public defender organizations to act as institutional checks; and adopting more robust, court-like grand jury procedures to empower jurors to evaluate evidence and witnesses rather than rubber-stamping charges.
