  • Real and Illuminating News

I’ve been listening and watching DemNow! since their inception in 2006. Unlike Billionaire-Controlled mainstream network and cable news, Democracy Now!, gives us real news. Refreshing from it’s beginning, I’ll always appreciate this news outlet.

  • Thank you

I was a former New York Times subscriber, unfortunately. But thank goodness I found Democracy Now, because unlike the NYT, Democracy Now provides in-depth journalism that is unafraid to challenge the Trump admin’s fascist regime and actually acknowledges the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Thank you Democracy Now! Keep up the excellent journalism!

  • Disappointed

I have always loved and respected the independent journalism of Democracy Now and have trusted their work for decades. Unfortunately, the episode about Iran on 3/2 was a mouthpiece for Ayatollah Khamenei, who is responsible for the murder of 10’s of thousands of his own people by all accounts. This was not mentioned through the whole episode, and they even made this totalitarian dictator out to be a hero! Truly, deeply disappointing take. Painfully one-sided. It shows that your boxed-in ideology... more

  • Important perspective

I have to gird myself before getting into it but this show reports on events that are important but seldom covered. I always feel torn because the opening theme is an absolute banger and I'm rocking out and then Amy will be like, "state troopers in the capital of Pretendia opened fire on protesters today, killing hundreds…"

Democracy Now! 2026-04-29 Wednesday
Q: Hi, Jeremy. Can you start off by just explaining the thesis of your piece?
Jeremy argues that the narrative about Iran negotiating with the U.S. is being misrepresented by Western media and that the Trump administration is the one pressuring, while Iran has its own terms and strategy, including leveraging mediators like Pakistan and pushing for direct talks only if certain conditions are met.
Democracy Now! 2026-05-01 Friday
Q: What is the current status of TPS for Haitians and Syrians as the Supreme Court arguments unfold?

Democracy Now! 2026-04-28 Tuesday
Q: What is the significance of the BIA decision on DACA protections?
The BIA decision narrows deportation protections for hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients, raising concerns about their future and the potential expansion of deportations, which Congressmember Ramirez frames as an urgent call for policy action to preserve protections.
Democracy Now! 2026-05-04 Monday
Q: Can you talk about the significance of the court decision on Friday?
The decision targets access to Mephepristone by requiring in-person visits, disrupting telemedicine and mail-based dispensing, but it does not restrict misoprostol or in-person clinics, which means abortion access can still be maintained through alternative methods and networks, signaling both a setback and a pivot for activists.
Democracy Now! 2026-04-27 Monday
Q: How does the panel view gun violence and the political rhetoric surrounding it?
Khanna emphasizes universal background checks, red flag laws, and reducing polarization as essential steps to separate political violence from broader gun violence within democracy.
