I created this podcast – to attempt to retell some of my favourite Bible stories in a way that might help us to hear them as their first listeners would have done so. Such a retelling may not help us to know exactly what happened, but I hope it might help us to delve into those truths that they were trying to communicate.

Really good podcast, based on the love of God and a baseline love for all. A oasis in a desert of hateful false idols, blessed be W Scott McAndlesz
Imaginative and obviously very carefully created, Retelling the Bible has delivered so many moments of surprise and wonder to me for, inspire of thinking I know these stories well.
Host W Scott McAndless brings fresh readings to biblical narratibe thatbdraw out unheard voices and compelling perspectives. Scott’s retellings are always entertaining and thought provoking.
Thoroughly enjoy this podcast. The author uses an oblique approach in presenting well known Bible passages. At the end of a podcast, I often go “huh, never thought of it that way or never presented that way.”
I don’t have to agree with someone IOT to listen to them. Iron sharpens iron!
Also love the music.
I left the church because I had a Marxist pastor who loved Castro. I knew too many people who were lucky to escape with their life’s from Cuba to sit in church and listen to such garbage.
The first season is interesting but then he goes off trying to twist the Old Testament to fit his Marxist ideology. He must be one of the Christians who believes that the Old Testament is a collection of tales having no value to New Testament Christian’s.
