This ain't your pastor's Bible podcast. This is a deep interrogation of the book, and we're bringing receipts. Bible scholar Dr. Dan McClellan and atheist podcaster Dan Beecher team up to discover what the Bible actually says, what it decidedly doesn't say (even if everyone thinks it does), and explore the history of the most popular book of all time.

  • “That was V’ger.”

I’ve listened to this show for awhile now, but it was when Dan McClellan casually dropped the above reference with no explanation that I knew these were truly my people.

  • Spiciest Bible and Religion Podcast

I’m fairly familiar with historical-critical research on the Bible, early Judaism, and early Christianity, but I learn something new from each episode. Dan McClellan has an encyclopedic knowledge of biblical studies and the cognitive science of religion and Dan Beecher has an encyclopedic knowledge of how to be a lovable doofus. Highly recommended.
